The project “Italy Through the Lens of Mathematics” was launched in September 2025 by the Grade 11 students under the supervision of our project leaders, Arnaud Lemazurier and Gwënola de Grimaudet. Inspired by the history of mathematics and Italian architecture, this project aims to explore the historical connections between these fields while offering a rich international immersion experience on linguistic, cultural, and academic levels.
From May 15 to 24, we will be traveling to Naples and Rome, accompanied by our math teacher, Arnaud Lemazurier. As part of this initiative, we are responsible for the entire planning of the trip: itinerary, accommodations, transportation, educational activities, and fundraising. This approach encourages us to develop autonomy, organizational skills, and the ability to lead a large-scale collective project. This project goes beyond the classroom and represents much more than a simple study trip.
It allows us to:
- strengthen our group cohesion;
- broaden our worldview;
- develop our sense of responsibility;
- and build lasting human connections.
Your support contributes directly to the success of this ambitious and highly formative educational project.
Grazie infinite,
Akio, Alexander, Benjamin, Colin, Firmin, Lou, Louis, Marcel, Manoa, and Zeki
